Dr. Yemisi Jeff-Agboola is a Reader in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, UNIMED. She holds a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology, with interests in food safety, mycotoxicology, product development and medicinal plant research. She is a fellow of University of Missouri on a USDA founded project on "Strengthening Food Safety System in Africa" a Mytox-South partner, a peer review college member of the UK Research and Innovation through Global Challenges Research Fund and a Fulbright African Research Scholars, USA (2019/2020), a Brigitte and Wolfram Gedek Grant Recipient (2017) as a scholar at the Institute of Veterinary Food Science, Justus Liebig-University, Giessen, Germany, a Postdoctoral scholar, at the Centre of Excellence in Mycotoxicology and Public Health, Department of Bioanalysis, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ghent University, Belgium (2019), a post-doctoral Fellow of the prestigious African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD), an Advanced Science Training Laureate and a Post-Doctoral Scholar at Animal Science Research Center, University of Missouri, Columbia, USA. Yemisi Adefunke Jeff-Agboola (Ph.D.), is a food safety expert with extensive experience in food Microbiology, Mycotoxicology, Gender Responsive Agricultural Research. She is a Reader of Food Microbiology/ Food Safety, Director, UNIMED Akure Campus, Director of Centre for Continuing Education, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City, Nigeria. She has won several grants and awards to her credits including 2015 Top Influencer Award among West African female Agricultural Scientists, She is an Ambassador of the World Food Preservation Center and a peer review college member of the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and fellow of African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD). She is involved in a number of national and international projects involving research programs on pre-harvest, post-harvest food safety, development of biological control agents against aflatoxins and combination of mycotoxins in crops and pathogenic organisms, medicinal plant research (control of Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria in poultry) and microbiological quality assessment of food.
