Dr Babawale Peter OLATUNJI is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, Plant Science and Biotechnology unit, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo city, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Ethnobotany and specializes in neuro-phytomedicine where he explores the science of the brain with plants. He is presently researching on brain enhancing drugs of herbal origin and natural remedy for cognitive diseases. Before joining the services of the University of Medical Sciences, he has worked as a lecturer in the Department of Biological Sciences, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti where he rose through the ranks to the position of a Senior Lecturer. Dr. Babawale is a member of the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), International Society of Neurochemistry (ISN) and Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN). He is very versed with the current research methodology in drug discovery.
