Dr Bridget Omowumi Akin-Otiko is an experienced nurse with about four decades of active practice in clinical, educational, and administrative areas of nursing, in both private and public sectors. As an applied researcher, findings from her studies have informed decisions in training of nurse educators and industrial crisis management in the health sector. At different times in her education and career, she won awards and commendations for excellent academic performance and professional practice respectively. She retired from the Federal Ministry of Health in July 2014 as the Director, Nursing Education. As a committed Christian, her fear of God has sustained her integrity, commitment, and dedication to any worthy course, in spite of prevailing challenges. She is a team-builder and loves to support the next generation of professionals to promote quality nursing education, practice, research and leadership.
