Joshua Babayemi is a Reader in Environmental Management and Toxicology, Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo. He obtained B.Sc. degree in Environmental Management and Toxicology with Second Class Honors from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, and an MSc Environmental Chemistry and Pollution Control, University of Ibadan. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Chemistry at the University of Ibadan.
He has participated and presented papers in conferences in Nigeria and beyond. His research interests include solid waste assessment and management; plastic challenges in Africa; inventories and action plans for plastics; material and substance flow analysis of solid wastes; persistent organic pollutants (POPs); inventories and action plans for POPs and related waste management; assessment of POPs in aquatic environment (water, sediment and fish); sustainable production and consumption and related chemicals and waste management; etc.
