Owa, Olorunfemi Oludele is a clinician/researcher with strong passion for pharmacology. Had his first degree in Medicine and Surgery at University of Ilorin, Nigeria then specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecologist (FWACS), a Master degree in Pharmacology from the prestigious, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and a Master degree in Public Administration.
Dr Owa has over 15 years’ experience in the practice of medicine with concentrations in management of high risk pregnancies, reproductive and maternal health, clinical trials, Pharmacology and minimal access surgeries.
He has being Principal investigator (PI) on several cutting-edge multinational, multi-centres, drugs and clinical trials by World Health Organisation (WHO) and other multi-national agencies. He served as the Principal investigator for the WHO CHAMPION Trial (2016-2018), the largest clinical trial on PostPartum Haemorrhage. He is presently a Principal investigator, WOMAN-2 Trial (LSHTM) and ACTION-III Trial (WHO).
Area interest are in high-risk pregnancy, reproductive pharmacology, toxicology and clinical-trials.
