Dr Ola-Bello, Olafoyekemi Ibiwunmi is a highly committed lecturer in the department of Microbial Pathology who gives lectures to medical and dental students, physiology, nursing, community health and environmental students. She is also actively involved in the laboratory practical demonstration for medical and dental students, training of postgraduate students/resident doctors.
A fellow of National postgraduate medical college of Nigeria (FMCPath), holds Masters of Science in Medical Microbiology from University of Lagos in 2015 with a GPA OF 4.28. She had her basic medical training from University of Ilorin college of Medicine with a bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery (MBBS) in 2006 and a bachelor of science in Microbiology from the same university in 1996.
She has passionate interest in research in the area of Antimicrobial resistance surveillance, Antimicrobial stewardship, and infection prevention and control. Her work has been presented in conferences both local and international. She has about 12 scholarly articles with 4 submitted for peer review.
She is presently the coordinator of department of Microbial pathology UNIMED, a position she resumed in August 2022. She is married and the union is blessed with children
