Gbenga Oluwayomi AGBOWURO is currently a Lecturer II in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City, Nigeria. He had a first degree from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, and a master's degree and Ph.D in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the same university. He is a recipient of Ekiti State government postgraduate scholarship in 2020. He is interested in plant improvement. He is a member of the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria and the Society for Underutilized Legumes. He has published a number of research articles in national and offshore academic journals. He has also attended various international workshops on gene editing and crop improvement.
