Gbenga Oluwayomi AGBOWURO is currently a Lecturer II in the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City, Nigeria. He had a first degree from Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, and a master's degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the same university. He is a recipient of Ekiti State government postgraduate scholarship in 2020. Currently, his Ph.D programme is at its concluding stage in plant breeding and genetics. He is interested in plant improvement. He is a member of the Biotechnology Society of Nigeria and the Society for Underutilized Legumes. He has published a number of research articles in national and offshore academic journals. He has also attended various international workshops on gene editing and crop improvement.
