Evelyn Uwa EDOSOMWAN is a Professor of Parasitology. She obtained her B.Sc in Zoology (1985), M.Sc (1987), M.Phil (1989) and Ph.D (1997) in Parasitology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Her areas of specializations include Parasitology, Immunology: with interest in immunological techniques and Epidemiology of parasitic diseases and Gender Studies. She has over 55 scientific publications in local and international peer review journals. She has over 34 years’ experience in the University System. She was a Teaching Assistant in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and has been a Lecturer/Researcher in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma and the University of Benin (UNIBEN). She has presented over 80 papers in national and international conferences, workshops, seminars etc. She has been the President of the Society for the Experimental Biology of Nigeria and Editors of several journals. She was a member of the Governing Council and Director, Centre for Gender Studies, UNIBEN.
