Dr Olayemi Ojo obtained a Bachelor of Dental surgery degree from the University of Ibadan (1987), Masters degree in Community Health from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife (2003) and he is a Fellow of the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria in the Faculty of Family dentistry.
He worked as Dental House officer at the Maxillofacial Unit of Oyo State Hospital Ring road Ibadan, Dental officer at the Nigerian Army Medical Corp 22 Armoured Brigade headquarters Ilorin and in various capacity at the Oyo and Osun State Hospitals Management Board. Dr Olayemi Ojo was promoted to the position of Chief Dental Surgeon in January 2008 and he retired as the head of Dental Centre State specialist hospital Osogbo.
His area of research interest is Dental Public Health and Restorative dentistry.
