Prof Onigbinde is a Specialist physiotherapist in Orthopaedic rehabilitation, and in the rare field of Rehabilitative Pharmacotherapeutics. He has specific interest in transdermal delivery of relevant drugs through the skin using procedure of iontophoresis, especially for the management of Musculoskeletal disorders. He has developed tools for the quantification of specific doses for topical medications, especially in Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. He has also published around 100 research papers in reputable national and international journals. He is an advocate of dosage specificity in topical medication prescription and therapeutic exercises. Furthermore, he is the National President of the National Association of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists (2016 - 2023. He has been a Resource Person for National and International workshops in Orthopaedics and Manual Therapy Clinical Practice for over two decades. He has served as the National Secretary and Vice President for the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy (2000 - 2004 and 2006-2008 respectively), and Africa Vice President, World Congress for Physical Therapists. Prof Onigbinde is the Secretary of Board of Trustees of the Association of Clinical and Academic Physiotherapists of Nigeria (ACAPN) and he is a Fellow and the Director of the Consortium for Advanced Leadership Mentoring Program.
