PROFESSOR VICTOR OLUSEGUN ASEKUNOWO
I am a Professor of Development Economics and Entrepreneurship. My research outputs focus on contemporary issues in these areas. I earned my B.Sc (1979), M.A.( 1982) and Ph.D ( 2006) degrees in Economics from American and Nigerian Universities. Likewise, I have taught in both American and Nigerian academic institutions for more than 30 years. My teaching style is very experiential in that it encourages students to relate to phenomena(concepts and tangible objects) in their milieu and see how they can creatively improve on these phenomena when the need for such is spotted.I have held the following administrative positions: MBA Coordinator, The Federal University of Technology, Akure ( FUTA) ( 2001-2006), Associate Director, Management Programmes, FUTA ( 2006 -2008), Foundation HOD, Entrepreneurship Management Technology Department, FUTA ( 2011- 2014), HOD, Entrepreneurship Department, FUTA ( 2017-2019). My hobbies are: listening to jazz music, walking, reading classical novels and watching documentary movies. I am very happily married.
