Prof. Amos Morakinyo Makinde had B.Sc. Biology (1980) at University of Ife, M.Sc. (Botany) 1984 at University of Ife and Ph.D. 1991 (Botany) Botany at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife. His areas of studies for first degree is molecular genetics, for M.Sc., toxicity studies on Amaranthus (physiology) and lower plants studies for Ph.D.
He has 39 years teaching experience in tertiary institution. He had supervised over one hundred (100) undergraduate projects, seven (7) M.Sc. projects and four (4) Ph.D. projects. He had over 33 publications in reputable journals.
Awards:
(a) He had Federal Government Scholarship for his M.Sc. studies.
(b) International Bibliographical Centre Cambridge awarded him in 2005:
(i) Living Legends
(ii) Outstanding Intellectual of the 21st Century.
