Dr. Akinyinka Akinnusotu is a seasoned researcher with experience both in industry and academia. He is a Faculty member of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Nigeria. Dr. Akinnusotu obtained his Ph.D in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Benin, Nigeria. He was a visiting Scholar at Texas Tech University, The Institute of Environmental and Human Health (TIEHH), USA. He obtained a M.Sc. in Environmental Science, and B.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry.
Dr. Akinnusotu's research is toward the environment due to the need for a safe and sustainable environment. He researched on persistent organic pollutants (POPs) such as organochlorine pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, etc., in various matrices, indoor and outdoor air quality, and particulate matter (PM); water and soil quality assessment.
He is a registered member several professional bodies: Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT), Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON), etc. Dr. Akinnusotu has published over thirty-eight peer-reviewed research articles in regional and international journals, including conference proceedings.
