I am Prof. Helen Nwakego Ayo-Omogie, a Professor (sabbatical appointee) in Microbiology Department, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo City. My home institution is the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria.
I obtained Advanced Diploma, Bachelors, Postgraduate Diploma and Masters in Microbiology, Ph.D in Food Science/Engineering and an international Postgraduate Certificate in Food Safety from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. I have attended several training workshops relevant to my work. My area of specialization is Food Microbiology/Fermentation Technology where my teaching and research project supervision are focused. I have successfully concluded supervision of several undergraduate and postgraduate students (including 2 Ph.D). I have over 45 scholarly articles published in local and international reputable journals.
I am highly motivated, diligent, hardworking, courageous and positive-minded, passionate about and love my job, always open to new challenges and looking to developing my skills to improve/enhance my productivity.
I am happily married and blessed with three children.
