POST UTME/DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION SCREENING FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo City, Ondo State is the First (1st) Specialized Medical and Health Sciences institution in West Africa.
Over the years, the University has carved a niche by being one of the few public universities with a stable & uninterrupted academic calendar and exceptional educational service delivery.
According to NUC Ranking (2021), the University was ranked first (1st) among Ondo State-Owned Universities, 2nd best of all Public & Private Universities in Ondo State, 4th among all State-Owned Universities in Nigeria, and 19th Best University in Nigeria.
Accordingly, the University hereby invites all suitably qualified candidates for undergraduate admission in the 2026/2027 Academic Session.

ELIGIBILITY
1. Candidates who chose “Ondo State University of Medical Sciences” as their most preferred (1st) choice Institution in the 2026 UTME and scored 150 and above are eligible to apply for the Post UTME Screening.

2. Also, candidates who did not choose the “Ondo State University of Medical Sciences” and are willing to change to the Institution as their most preferred (1st) choice are also advised to apply for the Post UTME Screening.

3. Mode of Exam: The 2026 Post UTME Screening Exercise will be both virtual and on-site, candidates can choose either.

4. JAMB UTME Subject Combination:
All courses in the various faculties require English Language, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

5. Candidates seeking admission into 100 & 200 level must possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO, or GCE in the following subjects: Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, obtained in not more than two sittings or as specified by the relevant departments.
For programmes such as Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry and Doctor of Physiotherapy the above stated five (5) O' Level credits must be obtained in only one (1) sitting.

6. Direct Entry candidates who have already applied through JAMB, selected the University as their most preferred (1st) choice Institution in the 2026 Direct Entry registration, as well as those willing to change to the University as their most preferred (1st) choice Institution, are also eligible to apply and participate in the 2026 Post UTME Screening Exercise.

7. Candidates with an "A" level certificate such as Cambridge, JUPEB, IJMB, with a minimum of 10 points, as well as ND (National Diploma), HND (Higher National Diploma) or Degree Holders, with a minimum of second-class lower (2:2) are eligible to apply for Direct Entry into 200 level. Such candidates must also meet the general O’ level requirements of the faculty/department to which they are applying.

8. Direct Entry Candidates are to request for their official academic transcripts, which must be forwarded directly from their previous institution to the Office of the Registrar, University of Medical Sciences, Laje Road Campus, Ondo City, Ondo State. An advance or E-copy can also be forwarded via email to transcripts@unimed.edu.ng on or before the Post UTME screening date.

(Direct Entry applicants will not be considered for admission without submission of their official academic transcripts to either the Office of the Registrar or via email transcripts@unimed.edu.ng before the PUTME Screening Date)

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE 2026 POST-UTME SCREENING:
Eligible candidates should log on to the University website: www.unimed.edu.ng and take the following steps:
1. Click on Admission;
2. Click on Post-UTME to access the Post-UTME Portal;
3.  Click on PAYMENT to make payment via the online payment system using VISA or MASTER Card. (Note that: VERVE Cards are not allowed)
4. After payment, Click Here to Print Payment Receipt
5. Go back to the Post-UTME Portal, click on the Application Portal to Login with your 2026 JAMB Registration Number and enter your Payment Transaction ID as Password to complete the Post-UTME registration.

For more details on payment and application, check the University website (www.unimed.edu.ng) PAYMENT IS ONLY VIA THE UNIMED PAYMENT PLATFORM ON THE UNIVERSITY WEBSITE. ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD CANDIDATES MAKE PAYMENT TO ANY UNAUTHORISED ACCOUNT. PLEASE SEEK CLARIFICATION IN CASE OF DOUBT.

2026 POST UTME SCREENING DATE AND VENUE OF THE EXAMINATION:
The 2026 Post UTME Screening Exercise will be both virtual and on-site, which will be held from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th August, 2026.
Venue of Examination and other modalities for the 2026 Post UTME Screening Exercise will be communicated to validly registered candidates via their individual portal on the University Website before the above stated dates.

ALSO NOTE THAT:
1. Only candidates who will be at least sixteen (16) years old by 30th September, 2026 are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise.
2. Applicants who are already matriculated students of any university, including UNIMED, and have not yet graduated must indicate this during their Post-UTME registration.
3. All candidates will be required to bring along the following items to the screening venue:
a. Printed copy of their 2026 UTME Notification of Results Slip
b. 2026 Direct Entry Registration Slip for Direct-Entry Candidates;
c. Printed copy of the completed 2026 Post UTME Screening Slip.

5. Any candidate (UTME or DE) who fails to present himself/herself for the 2026 Post UTME Screening Exercise will NOT be considered for admission.
