SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH OBJECTIVES

a)   Training of students and technical experts/policymakers through short courses on relevant public health and health policy topics in the region: Few undergraduates, PGDs, Masters and PhD courses; and regular and short term, and credit base trainings

b)   Develop capacity for applied research to address the health challenges in the region and to enable publication by indigenous practitioners of high quality papers in leading international journals.

c)   Provide public health services and consultancies to guide the administration of public health in the region.

PROGRAMMES CURRENTLY RUNNING WITHIN THE SCHOOL INCLUDE

1. Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health
2. Postgraduate Diploma in Health Statistics
3. Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science and Health Informatics
4. Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Health, Safety and Management

1. Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) with five areas of specialization
2. MSc Public Health (MScPH)
3. Doctorate Degree in Public Health (DrPH)
4. Doctorate Degree in Community Health (DrCH)
5. PhD in Public Health (PhD)
